Architecture & Hardening

Build security into the pipeline,
not onto the release.

Static, dynamic and composition analysis wired into CI, secrets out of code, infrastructure-as-code reviewed before it deploys, and the pipeline itself hardened as the attack surface it now is.

What it is

Fast feedback for developers, fewer surprises in production.

Security review at the end of a release is slow, and it finds problems when they are most expensive to fix. DevSecOps moves the checks into the pipeline, so a developer learns about a vulnerable dependency, a hardcoded secret or an open storage bucket in the pull request, minutes after writing it.

The pipeline is also a target. Build systems hold credentials to production, signing keys and source code. A compromised runner or a poisoned dependency reaches everything downstream. We harden the pipeline itself alongside the checks that run in it, and we tune those checks so they block real issues and stay quiet on noise, because developers route around tools that cry wolf.

What you get
  • A DevSecOps maturity assessment and a phased roadmap
  • SAST, DAST and SCA integrated into CI and tuned to your codebase
  • Secrets scanning across repositories, pipelines and images, with a plan to move secrets into a vault
  • Infrastructure-as-code review and policy-as-code checks in the pull request
  • Pipeline hardening: runners, permissions, branch protection, artifact signing and provenance
  • Runbooks and knowledge transfer to your platform team
How it works

Five steps, assessment to handover.

Assess

We review how code moves from commit to production: repositories, pipelines, runners, secrets, environments and who can change what.

Harden the pipeline

Least-privilege pipeline permissions, protected branches, isolated or ephemeral runners, signed artifacts and short-lived credentials in place of long-lived ones.

Add the checks

Static, composition, secrets and infrastructure-as-code scanning run on every change. Dynamic testing runs against deployed builds.

Monitor, then enforce

New checks start in report-only mode while we tune out false positives. Only then do they gate merges and deployments.

Hand over

Your platform team gets runbooks, tuning guidance and a working pipeline they own.

Coverage

Four areas of the pipeline.

Code and dependencies

Static analysis, software composition analysis, licence risk, container image scanning.

Secrets

Detection in code, history, pipelines and images; migration to a secrets manager; workload identity in place of static keys.

Infrastructure as code

Template review, policy-as-code in pull requests, drift between source and live state, secure-by-default modules.

Pipeline integrity

Runner security, pipeline permissions, branch protection, code signing, build provenance aligned to SLSA.

Ideal for

Who it is for

Engineering teams that deploy often and want security to keep pace: product companies, platform teams and organizations moving infrastructure into code. Also teams that have bought scanners and found developers ignoring them.

Questions

What buyers ask.

Security tools in CI will slow our developers down.

Badly tuned ones do. We start checks in report-only mode, tune out the noise, and only then let them block, so developers get fast, accurate feedback rather than a wall of false positives.

We already have scanners.

Most teams do. The usual problem is that findings are noisy, land outside developer tools, or nobody owns them. We tune what you have and recommend new tools only where there is a real gap.

How do secrets end up in code in the first place?

Usually through convenience: a test key committed once, a token in a config file. We find what is already there, rotate it, and put a check in place so the next one is caught before it is merged.

Which CI platforms do you work with?

The common hosted and self-hosted platforms. We are vendor-agnostic and work with the pipeline you already run.
